About Us


Total City Sports (TCS) Volleyball is a nonprofit organization that develops girls for life athletically, emotionally, and spiritually through competitive and affordable year-round volleyball programs.

Starting with 22 girls ages 1516 in 2011, TCS Volleyball now serves more than 957 girls ages 718 through a competitive club volleyball program, seasonal leagues, player development programs, clinics, and oncampus programs at multiple schools in the Greater Austin area.

  • Play a crucial role in providing all girls with access to empowering team-based volleyball programs
  • Teach valuable life-lessons that prepare girls to navigate the ups and downs of life 
  • Connect girls with yearround volleyball opportunities with mentor-minded coaches who focus on challenging and investing in girls athletically, emotionally, and spiritually
  • Increase participation and interest in volleyball among underserved youth
  • Promote greater inclusion of minorities in competitive volleyball


Lesley Heard
Founder and Director, TCS Volleyball

Lesley was a two-year letter winner at Texas State University and helped lead her team to a Southland Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004. She was Co-President of the Texas State Student Athletic Advisory Council, won the Oak Farms Dairy Academic Achievement Award as a freshman, and was on the Capital One Bank Commissioners Honor Roll. Lesley transferred to the University of Texas and was a member of the NIRSA Division 1 National Championship club volleyball team in 2007 and 2008 finalist. In 2008, she was awarded NIRSA Division 1 First Team All-American.

Lesley is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach and Program Director at Regents School of Austin. Her previous coaching experience includes The University of Texas Volleyball Camps (2007-2010), University of Texas Men’s club team (2006), TCS Camp (2009-2011), TCS Clinics, and numerous private volleyball lessons. IMPACT certified. CAP Level 1 certified. NFHS certified. SafeSport certified.


Nicole O’Banon
Program Coordinator, TCS Volleyball

Nicole was a four-year letter winner at the Number 1 ranked NCAA Division 1 Baylor University Women’s Volleyball Program and helped lead her team to a Big 12 Conference Title and NCAA National Semifinal appearance in 2019.

She was leader in the Baylor Huddle of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and was a four-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection, Academic All-Big 12 Selection, and winner of the Baylor Athletics Spark Leadership Award. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her previous coaching experience includes Baylor University Volleyball Camps (2016-2019) with 2019 AVCA Division 1 Coach of the year Ryan McGuyre and private lessons. IMPACT and SafeSport certified.
