The coaches really teach me how to play my position. They correct me when I’m wrong and show me the right way.
What does Volleyball mean to you?
Volleyball is an opportunity to get scholarships to college. I want to try to go to nursing school one day and volleyball could be a way I get there.
What’s your favorite part about being on this team?
Getting to know my teammates and getting to work with them.
What’s the most challenging part of playing a competitive sport?
It’s hard to get to know your position and sometimes there is a lot of pressure.
Who’s your favorite fan? Who supports you? How do they support you?
My mommy. She’ll cheer me on and say “go Lee Lee.” She also gives me advice and encourages me to get better.
What’s something you’ve learned from your coach this year?
To take my time so I have better accuracy.
What’s something you’ve learned from volleyball that effects other areas of your life?
Patience. You have to have to be patient with people that are competitive. In real life you have to be patient. If you’re stuck in traffic, you have to be patient. If someone at your job gets on your nerves, you have to be patient.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to dance. If I’m at home I love to learn new dances. It gets my mind off of things. It makes me feel good and helps get my anger out.
