About TCS Volleyball

TCS Volleyball is a program of the Austin-based non-profit, Total City Sports.  Total City Sports has been actively involved in Austin’s youth sports culture since 2009 through an all-sports summer camp and sport-specific clinics.  TCS Volleyball provides premier athletic coaching and exposure to high level volleyball competition at an affordable cost.  In addition, TCS coaches are Christ-centered in their approach to the mentoring and tutoring relationship between coaches and players.

Lesley Heard, Founder and Director, TCS Volleyball
TCS 151 Head Coach email

Lesley was a two-year letter winner at Texas State University and helped lead her team to a Southland Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004. She was Co-President of the Texas State Student Athletic Advisory Council, won the Oak Farms Dairy Academic Achievement Award as a freshman, and was on the Capital One Bank Commissioners Honor Roll. Lesley transferred to the University of Texas and was a member of the NIRSA Division 1 National Championship club volleyball team in 2007 and 2008 finalist. In 2008, she was awarded NIRSA Division 1 First Team All-American.

Her coaching experience includes University of Texas Volleyball Camps (2007-2010), University of Texas Men’s club team (2006), TCS Camp (2009-2011), TCS Clinics, and numerous private volleyball lessons. IMPACT Certified. CAP Level 1 Certified.

Geanine Gregory, Program Coordinator email

Geanine brings depth to both the Total City Sports organization and TCS Volleyball coaching staff as the TCS Program Coordinator. She is a veteran volleyball player, having played for the Texas State University club team from 2004-2007 and San Antonio Community College from 2001-2003.  She continues to play competitively as an adult for ATX Club Volleyball.  Geanine has been an integral member of the TCS coaching staff since 2010 as a volleyball coach at TCS Summer camps.  IMPACT Certified.


Aubrey West, TCS 141 Head coach

Aubrey was a three-year letter winner at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she was also awarded Academic All-Conference.  She has extensive coaching experience that includes Texas A&M University-Kingsville summer camps, Southwest Texas University Women’s Club Volleyball team, and high school summer programs.  Aubrey began coaching with TCS Volleyball in the summer of 2010 and has been a key member of the coaching staff ever since.  IMPACT Certified. CAP Level 1 Certified.

Jennifer Hall, TCS 141 Assistant Coach

Lauren Huff, TCS 151 Assistant Coach

Lauren is new to TCS Club Volleyball this season. She has previously coached the 11 and Under and 12 and Under teams at Austin Junior Volleyball. In addition to coaching the teams, she has put in many hours coaching Austin Junior Volleyball clinics. Lauren’s first experience with Total City Sports was helping coach the 2011 Player Development Summer Program. We are very excited to have Lauren back on our TCS team! IMPACT Certified.

Karis Buerger, TCS 151 Assistant Coach

This is Karis’s first season with TCS Volleyball. Karis attended Oklahoma State University, where she founded the OSU Women’s Volleyball Club in 2008. Karis played on the club team from 2008-2012, serving as president for two seasons and attending multiple national tournaments. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma State, she taught English abroad with her husband for a semester before settling in Austin in early 2013. We are lucky to have Karis with us this season.

Noah Scharchburg, TCS Positions Coach

This season Noah is joining our TCS Volleyball team as a positions coach for both teams. Noah attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. While at UTSA he co-founded the Men’s Club Volleyball team and as acting Vice President helped develop the program into a top 5 team in conference and had 28 active players/members. Along with his duties as Vice President, he was also the top team’s Libero and DS for four years. During his final year at UTSA he worked for the UTSA women’s NCAA team as a student manager, assisting in cutting film and putting together film for scouting. He now finds himself working full time in Austin looking to continue feeding his passion for volleyball while positively impacting young players who also share his passion.
